By car:
From Nuremberg: take the Salzburg motorway as far as the München-Süd intersection, then the motorway in the direction of Garmisch. Take the second exit (Oberhaching/Grünwald).
From Stuttgart: in Munich, take the Mittlere Ring Süd (ringroad south), then exit on the B11 (Wolfratshausen/Innsbruck). Past Pullach, take the Grünwald exit. The Alte Wirt is located in the centre, next to the maypole – you cannot miss it.

By train:
From the Hauptbahnhof in Munich (central station), take any S-Bahn (suburban train) in the direction of the Ostbahnhof: exit at Rosenheimer Platz. Then take tram no. 25 as far as Grünwald/Derbolfinger Platz (final stop).
Time: approx. 30min.
